WDN and WDA are separate organizations. Our missions are complementary, with differentiated capabilities and strategies to drive change, and separate resourcing that reflects our distinct funding vehicles and legal requirements. WDN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and does not support or oppose any political party or candidate for public office. Women Donors Action is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization that primarily supports policy advocacy and issue organizing.

While our name is Women Donors Action, our understanding of gender extends beyond a binary. We also know that words are powerful and imperfect, especially when it comes to gender identity. We are a community of women, both cis and trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive donor activists committed to advancing justice—and we’d love to talk with you about joining our network.

We provide durable, year-round funding to movements that are changing the political landscape through issue organizing and community-driven solutions; move rapid response dollars between grant cycles when crises and opportunities arise; and provide seed funding for emerging ideas and innovative c4 strategies. We do not have an open call for funding proposals at this time. However, we are always open to learning about new organizing efforts. At WDN, we have a flexible contribution model rooted in generosity, not fees. Our members contribute at a level that feels both comfortable and like a meaningful stretch.
